Project of the Week - Christmas stars

 Hi everyone,

The first advent is only one month away and time flies.

This weeks project was to make a star and I chose to 

make a star for the Lucia-candle.

On one side I've used the sentiment

Midvinternattens köld

On the other side I've used
Gran-swirls och stjärnor

I know that the other members of the Team has been quite busy this week so

you might have to settle with only my idea of a chrismas star.

Project of the Week - Drawer boxes

Hi everybody,

This week's project has been to make some kind of a drawer box

and I chose to make a small fairy box for my daughter.

I've used Idun with heart (without the heart)

Today we are inspiring you all with some beautiful fancy tags.

Päivi has played with höghus and grattis, bold

Challenge: use embossing

We make challenges for eachother on the designteam. this time I made it. They had to use embossing in some form.

MiaT made this beautiful card with the woman in the garden. She only embosset the dress.

Christmas is comming up, so Veronika made a stunning card for christmas. She used one of the new stamps just released in the store. Take a look at all the fantastic new ones!

Idag vill jag ta chansen och visa er ett kort som jag gjort med 

två underbara stämplar ur Stämpelkällans sortiment.

Today I want to take the chance to show you a card that I made with 

two wonderful stamps from Stampelkällan.

Jag har använt mig av denna text och äppelblom.

För att få lite djup i kortet har jag satt ett par av blommorna på 3D-kuddar.

Tisdag, och dags för ett nytt tips.

Idag tänkte jag dela med mig av en beskrivning av hur man gör ett litet mjölkpaket.

Tuesday and time for a new tip.

Today I would like to share a tutorial on how to make a milk cartoon.

Använd ett papper som skärs till 7x11 inches.

Den långa sidan bigas vid 2,5" 5" 7" och 10"

Den korta sidan bigas vid 2" 5" och 6,5"

Om du inte har en papperskärare eller linjal med inches så använd 2,5cm för varje inch.

Det blir lite matematik men inte sååå avancerat ;)

Use a paper in size 7x11 inches.

On the long end score the paper at 2,5" 5" 7" and 10"

The short end is scored at 2" 5" and 6,5"

If you don't have a papercutter or ruler with inches use 2,5cm for every inch.

You'll have to do a bit of math but not sooo advanced ;)

Here I've tried to ilustrate where to cut (whole lines) and where to score.

När du är klar med detta moment ser ditt papper ut som ovan.

Den nedre delen av papret har jag alltså skurit upp till nästa bigning och dessa

fyra "flärpar" kommer att bli botten på ditt paket.

When you've done this part your paper will look like above.

The lower part I've cut until the score and theese four flaps will become the

bottom of your carton.

Innan du monterar ihop paketet dekorerar du enligt önskemål

 och sätter dubbelhäftande tejp på framsidan av flärparna, enligt bild.

Before you assemble your carton, decorate as desired.

Then you put adhesive on the front flaps according to picture.

Jag har använt stämplar som passar en tonårstjej, "Lisa lyssnar på CD" och

"Grattis, grafitti"

Sätt ihop kartongen och stoppa i nåt som passar mottagaren.

Voilà, en söt liten gåvobox!

Veckans skiss à la Mia

Hejsan!

Ny vecka och min tur att dela med mig av en skiss.

Denna veckan har jag gjort en ganska ren modell.

A new week and my turn to share a sketch with you.

This time I made it CAS (clean and simple).

Detta är min egen tolkning av skissen.

Jag har använt mig av "Bella Notte" textbakgrund och runt kanten har

jag stämplat snöflingor.

Tuesday tip by mia.t

So it's tuesday and my time to share a tip.

Autumn time means halloween and countdown for christmas and that's when giftbags might come in handy. This is a giftbag that I make quite often and now I'm going to share with you how to create it.

Start with a piece of cardstock in size 8½ by 11 inches. Use a bone folder and score like this:

From the shorter side (vertically in the picture) score at 2½ and 6 inches.

From the longer (horisontal in the picture) score at 4½ and 6½ inches.
To convert the measurements to cm just multiply with 2,5 (1 inch is 2,5cm)

You should also fold the corners as shown on all four sides.

Make sure you fold all sides both ways to make the paper smooth to work with.

Place four pieces of tape on the back like this.

Place four pieces of tape on the front triangles.

 Fasten the sides one by one like the pictures show.

First the bigger piece of tape.

 and the the smaller triangular piece

Two sides ready...

After fastening all four sides your giftbag should look like this from above.

Make to pages to decorate your bag. Here I've used patterned paper

 and theese stamps from Stämpelkällan:

You need a clip to close the bag and I put a tag on it with this sentiment:
